Rabbit 🐰& Apple 🍎
May 20, 2026
Lately, I've been really fond of small things like rabbits 🐰 and apples 🍎. When I first made them, it was purely out of personal interest—rolling clay and carving with a slab roller, not using slip casting molds. They are fired at around 1300°C. Before firing, the apple 🍎 held in the rabbit's 🐰 paws is very fragile and tends to break easily; even a slight shake can make it fall off. When placing them into the gas kiln, the kiln master's movement pushing the kiln inside causes vibrations that dislodge the apples from the rabbits' hands. So I have to constantly observe and check them.
Due to the high firing temperature of around 1300°C, the apple held by the rabbit 🐰 often detaches from the rabbit's hand or completely melts and sticks to the boron plate.
Who made me fall for you? When you love someone, you've got to be careful, really careful.
