Collection: Haruya Hiroshima
Haruya Hiroshima, born in 1978 in Ishikawa, Japan, graduated from the Toyama City Institute of Glass Art in 2003. After refining his craft at factory zoomer, he launched his own cut-glass label, h collection, in 2004. In 2017, he opened a studio in Kanazawa, followed by his boutique shop Kojitsu Yohinten in 2019—bringing his glassware into the poetry of daily life.
Hiroshima carves light into glass—using a diamond-tipped tool to engrave vertical lines on crystal blanks like frozen rain. Each groove is polished by hand at least five times, with a precise 0.3 mm spacing that creates a shimmer of prismatic color, reminiscent of vintage European crystal. Guided by the belief that "vessels are containers of time", he fuses Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary utility, crafting pieces that feel at once timeless and quietly magical.
