This ceramic plate centers on a stylized butterfly surrounded by leaves, petals, stars, and scattered white dots. Warm orange, brown, and ivory tones stand out against the black surface, while the symmetrical composition gives the image a quiet, almost ceremonial feeling. The butterfly does not appear as a literal copy of nature, but as a form caught between insect, flower, and imagination—suggesting the uncertain moment when one state begins to become another.
Every EBMing piece begins with an original design, with the carving, coloring, and finishing all completed by hand. The studio does not reproduce nature exactly, but reshapes familiar plants and living forms into patterns with their own rhythm and personality. Each piece is fired at 1240°C, preserving the depth of the carved lines, the character of the hand-painted color, and the subtle variations that make every piece slightly different.

Form & Aesthetics
I have always been inspired by the small lives around us—birds among branches, butterflies passing through flowers, and animals moving through worlds we often overlook. Rather than recreating them exactly as they appear in nature, I capture their impressions through simplified forms, hand-carved lines, and imagined colors, giving each piece its own character and feeling.
For me, clay is a way to preserve these moments of connection with nature. Every mark left by the hand and every unique shape gives the work a sense of life and warmth. Through EBMing Studio, I hope to create objects that bring curiosity, joy, and a closer appreciation of the beautiful lives that surround us.
