This handleless ceramic cup features a large owl rendered through dense feather patterns and tightly carved lines. Its rounded eyes sit at the center of the composition, while layered wings and plumage spread across the black surface in a near-symmetrical arrangement. The limited black-and-ivory palette gives the piece a quiet, watchful presence and allows the carved texture to become the main focus.
Every EBMing piece begins with an original design, with the carving, coloring, and finishing completed entirely by hand. Each piece is fired at 1240°C, preserving the depth of the carved surface and the subtle variations that naturally come from handwork.

Form & Aesthetics
I have always been inspired by the small lives around us—birds among branches, butterflies passing through flowers, and animals moving through worlds we often overlook. Rather than recreating them exactly as they appear in nature, I capture their impressions through simplified forms, hand-carved lines, and imagined colors, giving each piece its own character and feeling.
For me, clay is a way to preserve these moments of connection with nature. Every mark left by the hand and every unique shape gives the work a sense of life and warmth. Through EBMing Studio, I hope to create objects that bring curiosity, joy, and a closer appreciation of the beautiful lives that surround us.
