EBMing - Becoming Butterfly
I am drawn to butterflies not only because they are beautiful, but because they never remain what they once were.
Their lightness comes after a long and hidden process of change. I think that is what moves me mostβthat something delicate can come from struggle, and something free can begin in a period of stillness.
In this collection, the butterflies are surrounded by flowers, leaves, and dense patterns. Sometimes they stand out clearly, and sometimes their wings almost dissolve into the lines around them. I like that uncertainty, because change is rarely sharp or obvious when it is happening.
Becoming Butterfly is not only about becoming more beautiful. To me, it is about allowing yourself to outgrow an older version of who you were.
