Feathered Grove
Sometimes I imagine that a fallen feather does not really disappear after it lands. It becomes a leaf, then a branch, and little by little, a forest begins to grow from it.
The birds in this collection do not belong to one exact species. They come more from memory than from observationβa wing passing outside a window, the sound of birds before sunrise, or a shadow moving quickly between trees.
I like letting feathers, branches, and leaves grow into one another. The picture may feel dense at first, but that density is exactly what I want. A forest is never empty. It is layered, full, and quietly alive.
Feathered Grove is my way of imagining that nothing in nature truly vanishes. A feather falls, and somewhere, another world begins to grow.
